Camp Hall Advances with Lee & Associates for Commerce Park’s Village Center
MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Santee Cooper contracted with Lee & Associates, a commercial real estate firm, to lead the sale of retail parcels at Camp Hall’s Village Center.
“We are pleased to partner with Lee & Associates, a world-class commercial real estate firm, to help advance and realize Camp Hall’s vision,” said Pamela Williams, Santee Cooper Chief Public Affairs Officer and General Counsel. “The firm specializes in partnering to create exceptional places, and we planned the Village Center as an exceptional place for retail businesses to thrive and to provide amenities promoting work life balance for Camp Hall’s workforce.
Lee & Associates is the largest broker-owned firm in North America, with reach extending to Canada and throughout Europe. Lee & Associates went through a rigorous process before being chosen by Santee Cooper to sell retail parcels at Camp Hall’s Village Center and will serve as an integral partner in transforming its vision into reality.
“Seldom is there an opportunity to actually create the heart of a major strategically planned development,” said Wade Allen, President of Lee & Associates Charleston. “We are excited to partner with Santee Cooper and Camp Hall in bringing the Village Center to life for everyone who works within or visits the Charleston Region’s next industrial megaplex.”
Camp Hall’s Village Center will be a thriving collection of small businesses and conveniences designed to help balance work with the necessities of daily life — connecting the workforce to everyday errands, to nature, and to each other. Camp Hall envisions the Village Center to include services to make work-life balance achievable, including Wi-Fi connectivity, a convenience store, food choices, healthcare, gas, electric vehicle charging, banking, a fitness center, a fire station and EMS. Planned amenities include an event lawn and park, playfield, and trails for exploration, exercise and connectivity. Lee & Associates Charleston is charged with leading an extensive and very broad Request for Interest and Request for Proposal process for selecting both developers and tenants.
Camp Hall is located in Berkeley County in the Charleston, South Carolina, area, and has remaining more than 1,300 developable acres and permanent protection of approximately 2,650 acres of land, including 1,265 acres of freshwater wetlands. Home to Volvo Car USA’s first North American manufacturing plant, Camp Hall could ultimately house more than 10,000 jobs.
Camp Hall provides global access through a comprehensive network of transportation infrastructure, including connected interstate and rail systems, and close proximity to airports and deep-water ports. All tracts have zoning and wetlands permits, with utilities in place or underway. The remaining available tracts range in size from 7 to 600 acres.
